A well crafted and astonishing documentary. There is much sensationalist titillation to be taken advantage of here but Gabriela Cowperthwaite does not lower her film to those levels. The content is sensibly handled, well structured and brilliantly concluded. Blackfish is probably the best documentary of 2013. It shows real talent to create real tension, suspense, intrigue and unbiased investigative entertainment all in one film but that has been achieved here on all levels. This should be on everyone's must see list!
