Well, they got the smugness of the modern magician right. They got the all promise and no payoff in modern magic right as well but I'm sure that's not what they were going for. Now you see me is so badly written it's more Ocean's 12 than Ocean's 11. The premise would have been clever if they had convinced that any of it was possible but a nasty bit of CGI is always in place rather than a clever bit of magic or good writing. I found none of the characters to be likable or believable and I found none of the film magical in the slightest. You can't polish a turd but you can sprinkle glitter on it is a phrase that springs to mind.
