If I were to read the script of Frankie Go Boom I probably wouldn't then go on to to watch it. I do wonder how it got made but then it's a good job I'm not a big movie producer because it's actually a pretty decent comedy. I have my niggles, the film is not perfect but I think the script is clever and they definitely got the right cast. Above all it feels like something new, odd though it might be, it is an original and I won't knock originality in the cinema as there just isn't enough of it going around. However, you may never look at Ron Perlman in the same way again, although he is quite brilliant in his cameo.
