Based on a true story. Really?, because where I was sitting it looked like it was based on about a billion horror films that have come before. Seriously, nice imagery aside, this is like 99% of every other horror film made in the last decade and it's getting pretty tiresome. It's not among the worst but it is just as forgettable. It's well directed but the big problem, and it is a big problem given the genre, is that it is just not scary. It's also rather dull until the last 20 minutes but no amount of snappy editing can save it.
