I don't care much for the Shrek movies. I thought the stories lacked the imagination of most of the fairytales they send up and I don't like the style of animation. Puss in Boots was one of the more likable characters it's fair to say and probably the most deserving of a spin off. I still don't like the way human characters are animated but I thought the writing was a lot better than any of the Shreks. The script is pretty good too and I certainly laughed more in this one film than all the Shrek films put together. Puss is a charming character, for many different reasons and thankfully they didn't just rely on repeating his famous 'Kitty stare'.
