Bad News Bears

I've not seen the original films so I can't really comment on Richard Linklater's 2005 version of the Bad news Bears in terms of remake but for what it's worth, I thought that for a cliched story (Bad News Bears are pretty much a Baseball themed cross between the East Side Kids and the Little Rascals as far as I can tell), it was pretty cliche light. There is an element of 'seen it all before' but I think it was handled pretty well and even though this is nothing special, it did keep me entertained throughout. I find Richard Linklater pretty dependable in this area.
