Rescued by Rover is easily my favourite of the Hepworth shorts, this time directed by Lewin Fitzhamon. Rescued by Rover is the pre-cursor to Lassie, Skippy, Flipper and any other animal rescue film you can think of but is in my opinion, probably the best of the sub-genre in it's purest form. It's quite magical and utterly brilliant, a wonderful story that I'm sure must have had a huge impact on those that were lucky enough to see it.
