Shooter is slightly more intelligent than your typical action thriller, although the cliches come think and fast, as we see our hero being coxed out of hiding to do one last job. Shooter ticks all the right boxes without you having to turn your brain off but I'm still not sure about the ending. I liked it and I didn't, a more realistic ending would have been depressing but at least it would have been realistic and would have perhaps left more of an impression but in the end, it was a pretty good film and entertaining throughout. Antoine Fuqua is a talented director, he's been a bit hit and miss in my opinion, I'm sure he has a masterpiece in him though.
