Transporter 2 is very much like the first transporter but with a huge dollop of fromage. It's very knowing though as the tongue is very much in cheek and it's all the better for not taking itself too seriously. I like the way they continued the buddy aspect with Inspector Tarconi from the first film, although it does make for a confused character in Frank Martin. Matthew Modine has fallen on hard times it seems and why is Keith David still so overlooked? It was nice to see Jason Flemyng teaming up with Jason Statham again though after their first encounter in Lock Stock. Overall the sequel is a bigger, louder and more bubble gum coated romp and highly enjoyable.
