I like Steven Soderbergh's deconstructed style of film making but I don't think it'll ever lead to anything greater than mediocre. I love some of his films and hate others, I don't really feel his work ethic and remain unconvinced by him. You say genius, I say Ocean's 12. I'll leave it at that. Magic Mike is a solid drama, not the big comedy it was advertised as but I still enjoyed it, it was just nothing special. It's a shame really as it was a unique un-Hollywood story that could and should of had more impact but it's a bold change of pace with some enjoyable performances.
