Zack and Miri Make a Porno

I think people expect too much from Kevin Smith these days. Don't get me wrong, I really like him but he got lucky with Clerks and I always thought it was somewhat overrated, I liked it but it isn't the American classic everyone says it is, just as great example of independent film-making. Zack and Miri Make a Porno however is light-hearted, very funny and very well done. It's aptly rude without being nasty or tasteless either which is down to good writing. All the characters are likable too and it's never offensive. I'm not sure why this got all the flack it did, there is so much worse out there that gets praise I often have to wonder about my fellow cinema goers.
