Santa Who?

William Dear's Santa Who? brings very little to the Santa lead Christmas movie genre. However, Leslie Nielsen, as questionable as it might sound, is quite an excellent St Nick. Nielsen is by far, the only thing this film has got going for it. Santa goes out for a spin in his slay one evening to clear his head after becoming depressed over the continued commercialisation of Christmas. He gets caught up in some bad weather, falls out of his slay and lands in front of a man orphan called Peter. Suffering from Hollywood style amnesia, Santa is helped by Peter to try to find who he is and where he came from. Peter, being a news reporter, decides to make it a network feature and the story goes nationwide. Peter gets over his fear of commitment and his dislike of Children along the way but most importantly, be believes in Santa Claus again. It's mostly harmless, although there is an odd scene whereby Santa's elves travel through US customs incognito that I'm pretty sure was racist. I couldn't be bothered to rewind that part but I'm pretty sure it was. If it wasn't racist, it was boring. Boring and possibly racist.
